ABOUT ME

Why TRAVEL TRANSLATOR? I always feel like a pocket dictionary for my travelling companions.

​

I've been studying English since I was a child, and then I learned two new languages:

French and Spanish.

However, I had to start university to meet my true love: Brazilian Portuguese!

I was fascinated by Brazilian culture, history and traditions, so I decided that Portuguese would be my working language.

​

I've been working in the tourism field, and this has enabled me to achieve new skills related to this fast-growing industry.

I have translated menus from several restaurants and pamphlets from local tourist attractions and accommodations,

such as hotels and museums, so I have built a portfolio of translations

and expanded my business to new fields, such as teaching and publishing.

My Brazilian Portuguese thesis was published in Brazil,  

and this is one of the greatest achievements of my university career.

​ Moreover, I am a volunteer translator and transcriber for different global associations and communities, such as TED.
